Knitted " The Butterfly" #!

Finished in Dec. of 2018 and blocked in July 2019.   A tedious but satisfying project for my first attempt.

Finished the beginning of Sept. 2019.  Picture is of  "the Butterfly Shawl" being blocked.   German Short Rows were used for the turns in the pattern

Doilies require a lot of counting knitted stitches. One mistake, and the pattern does not work. I worked three days on finding one error. What joy to find the mistake I made.

I'm about to finish my first doily. It was been an interesting experience, and I have learned a lot. The most difficult part for me was starting with very eight very small stitches on four knitting needles.

11/13/07 Wedding Ring Shawl completed

I completed the wedding ring shawl tonight, and stitched the lace edging together.
The Princess shawl has been started today.

Today is the one year anniversary of the start of the wedding ring shawl. The design is by Sharon Miller. I am on row 116 of the first border. The picture is of one year ago today.
